THE STORY OF Wilshire United Methodist Church goes hand-in-hand with the growth of Los Angeles. The city's population totaled less than 300, 000 when our predecessors established the Hobart Methodist Church in 1907. Our proximity to Hollywood continues to generate fascinating stories. 17-year old Shirley Temple's wedding was officiated here in 1945.
